Northminster Residences of Toronto was founded as a not for profit corporation, by Northminster Baptist Church, as a vision born of a desire to make a tangible difference in the community.   Members of the church recognized a need in the city for affordable housing and saw meeting that need as a practical way to help others.  In 1992, vision became homes

The 89 units of AMESBURY RESIDENCES are located conveniently in North York, a "rent-geared-to-income" subsidy program is available and families benefit from numerous amenities.   Those amenities are not just physical, like party rooms and so forth.  In addition to a dedicated staff, a group of individuals -- some residents and some not -- meets every month to ensure the building runs well, the needs of tenants are met and Amesbury indeed makes a difference.
